Established in 2021 in Salem, Tamil Nadu, with an operational expansion in Coimbatore, the company was shaped by firsthand experience with the realities of farming, where challenges such as crop loss, soil degradation, inefficient irrigation, labor dependency, and limited access to modern technology were not theoretical observations, but lived experiences.
These challenges created a clear need for solutions that were not only innovative, but also accessible, reliable, and effective in real-world conditions. Instead of adapting to these limitations, LOFTY AGROTECH was built to eliminate them. Early efforts focused on developing practical agricultural solutions that could directly improve productivity and reduce inefficiencies, with every innovation tested in real field environments to ensure measurable impact.

Mr. HARIPRASATH BALACHANDHAR is the Founder and Managing Director of LOFTY INNOVATIONS (formerly LOFTY AGROTECH), a mission-driven entrepreneur focused on solving real-world challenges through practical, scalable innovation. Coming from a farming background, his journey is deeply rooted in understanding grassroots problems, which led him to build solutions that directly impact productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.
Since establishing the company in 2021, he has transformed it from an agriculture-focused startup into a multi-domain innovation company, delivering solutions across engineering, drone technology, product development, and R&D. His expertise spans product innovation, research and development, business strategy, and fundraising, enabling the company to build market-ready and impactful solutions.
Under his leadership, LOFTY INNOVATIONS has achieved significant milestones, including government recognition and securing multiple Government of India grants.
Beyond LOFTY INNOVATIONS, HARIPRASATH BALACHANDHAR plays an active role in shaping the startup ecosystem. As a consultant, mentor & guest speaker, he has guided entrepreneurs, students, and innovators in areas such as product development, business strategy, fundraising, and market execution.
