Micro SD cards are used everywhere to store data and images, songs, applications etc. Be it your phone your ipod, your camera, your data stick etc. But in case of Raspberry Pi, a memory card is used to load the operating system of Raspberry Pi so that you can work on your PC with just plugging the Raspberry Pi board in the USB port on the PC. But sometimes due to power fluctuations and short circuits the onboard SD card reader gets damaged or you need to store a large amount of data from the board but you don’t have enough space in the memory stick you already have so you might need to connect an external SD card and to do that you can use this Mini USB 2.0 SD Memory Card Reader. This can be easily attached to the USB 2.0 Ports provided on the Raspberry Pi development boards and solve the above mentioned problems with your board.
