The OV5647 5MP 1080P IR-Cut Camera for Raspberry Pi 3/4 with Automatic Day Night Mode Switching is a custom designed add-on for Raspberry Pi. It attaches to Raspberry Pi by way of one of the small sockets on the board upper surface. This uses the dedicated Raspberry Pi's onboard CSI interface, designed especially for interfacing to cameras. The camera supports night vision. It is compatible with all revisions of the Pi. Powered with a 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor, its best resolution is 1080p. Why you need IR-Cut Sensor on Camera? While normal cameras will take reddish pictures during the daylight because of lacking IR filter in the CCD, this RPi IR cut camera can take the much better quality picture at a resolution of up to 1080p during both day and night. The Externally attachable IR LED that helps the night vision function. The Mounting Holes Provides 3.3V power output Supports connecting infrared LED and/or fill flash LED. It has onboard photoresistor, the ambient light detector to provide automatic day and night mode Switching. An adjustable resistor is provided on it to control the ambient light threshold of toggling the infrared LED when ambient light is lower than the threshold value, the infrared LED is on, vice versa. Onboard screw holes are used for both attachment and power supply. It connects to Raspberry Pi by way of a short ribbon cable. The sensor itself has a native resolution of 5 megapixels and has a fixed focus lens. In terms of still images, the camera is capable of 2592 x 1944 pixel static images, and also supports 1080p 30, 720p 60 and 640x480p 60/90 video. The camera is supported in the latest version of Raspbian, Raspberry Pi's preferred operating system. We also have Manual Day/Night Mode switching camera with same specifications, check it out here Useful Link: https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/projects/getting-started-with-picamera Features: Raspberry Pi Camera, supports all revisions of the Pi Embedded IR-CUT filter, eliminating colour distortion due to IR light in the daylight Comes with infrared LED, supports night vision 5-megapixel OV5647 sensor Can Attach IR LEDs if Night Vision mode is required The screw hole on the camera is used to both fix the infrared lights and through the power for the lights.
